I wore a skirt or capri pants all weekend, because my legs hadn't seen the sun all week. Thank goodness we're going to the beach in 2 weeks!
Picking up where I left off...
I went home and generally chilled for a few days, then I came back to Clemson on Tuesday and cleaned and put away my laundry. That Tuesday night, I took Julie and Rachel to Olive Garden for dinner and gave them their graduation presents which, (correct me if i'm wrong...) they loved. On Wednesday, we went to Commerce to do some shopping. The general goal was to find them dresses for graduation. Of course, we found plenty of other things while we were there (hehe).
Thursday, I started work out at the AMRL. It was a very long day, as we had a 3.5 hour meeting and a cookout after work.
Friday, I worked until lunchtime, then went home and headed to graduation. Emily and I made signs and heckled because our seats were behind the stage where Julie and Rachel could see us.
After graduation, I got to ride with Julie's grandparents (which was quite amusing) out to the restaurant (el something) where all umpteen of us had dinner. Then we proceeded to take about a million pictures of ourselves.
Olivia and I had a slumber party on Friday night. Yay!
I headed home on Saturday cause Sunday was Mothers' Day. Amy and I prepared lunch for mom, including half a red velvet cake. (hehe. it's so easy to take credit) We then carried on our mothers' day tradition of going to the mercy center and serving dinner.
Monday was work, Tuesday was work, Wednesday was work, Thursday was work, Friday was work. But, Friday was pizza day at work. My car decided to start making crazy noises on Monday. Sounded a lot like brakes, but dad kept sending me under the car to check and see if it really was the brakes before he tried to get the car into the shop. It finally came down to Matt and I removing the tires from the car and looking at the brakes that way, because you couldn't see anything from under the car. We discovered, in scientific terms, that the round shiny thing wasn't shiny all the way to the edge on the left rear. It was, in fact, scraped all the way around, about 1/4 inch thick. Anyway, I'm driving Snowflake this week while the Vorvo gets his feet fixed.
This weekend was Amy's senior sunday at church, so we spent Saturday morning decorating for it, then Saturday afternoon at the mall with Regan, picking out a dress for the occasion. I also gave Amy her video this weekend. I'm pretty sure she liked it.
Today we'll be leaving work a bit early and heading to the lake to go swimming. Yay! Way fun. I don't know where yet. Doesn't really matter.
Lunchtime!
I'll add pictures later. The internet's being screwy.
my legs haven't seen the sun in days

Today is Saturday and I am finally done with exams. The meeting I mentioned in my last post went well. It was with our department head about the possibility of doing research this summer. I'm going to be working with her team at the AMRL for the summer, mostly being trained for all the different stuff they do, then I'll get to work on a real project starting in the fall. So that's cool cause I'll have something for the next year. It's work with glass, which is cool, so yay! I have a few days to chill until I start working on Thursday. That'll be nice to have a break. This picture is of a cake Olivia and I made the other day. We wanted both frostings, so it looks like a life preserver.
Exams went pretty well. I thankfully got a C in Dr. Rack's class (before anyone gets the wrong idea, it was one of those classes where you'd be pretty lucky to pass), don't really know my grades in the other classes yet. A in two of them so far. The week was annoying as I didn't have much to do until Tuesday. Tuesday I studied all morning then went out to the labs to visit and meet everyone. I came back and went to dinner with Olivia and Paul.
I was trying to hid the fact that I was chewing in that picture.
I gave up on studying at around 9:30, then went downstairs to hang out. Went to bed at 11 and got up at 3 am to go to the library with Paul to study and to visit Matt, who had announced (in a really really hyper way) that he was pulling an all-nighter. I studied quite hard, and (around 5 am) found that I started to understand the way Dr. Rack's mind works. Took the final and headed home to shower and relax for a while. Dad came up and took me for a drive in the car that evening, then I went over to the guys' to hang out for Marsh and Kevin's last night in Clemson. Rather amusing evening. Lots of dancing. Oh, and Baldo found a break-up box in the closet from like 5 years ago or something. Pretty crazy letter in it. Kinda fun. Thursday I went to work. BD gave me this picture. Aren't I cute?!?
Went to Target. Hung out with Julie and Rachel for a while. Went to see Spiderman 3 at midnight and it was awesome!
Friday I went to work, then did some speech studying with the freshman. Then it was dinner and Elton John with Julie.
Yes, we are old ladies. We went to see Sir EJ in concert. It was awesome. He's adorable.
I've been listening to his music since then. woooooo!
Got up this morning and got coffee and a muffin before I went over to the Paul's to do a marathon review for the speech final that we had at 1 this afternoon. We ran some errands and ate some lunch after it, then I came over here to Julie's where we watched ANTM, then went to Bloom. Now we're watching tv (How to lose a guy in 10 days, TMNT, X-Men, Lord of the Rings...) and eating bread and chips and queso and frosting and I might go make some tea in a minute. Chai. We are basically being total bums for the evening. We're having a slumber party. Her brother left today for Iraq for the next year and a half or so. I'll probably get up in the morning and take a shower at home before I go to church with Julie. After that, I'll be packing up some stuff to take home for the summer. I'll be living in Clemson for the summer but I need to take stuff home to get it out of the way. I'll probably stay home until Tuesday morning when I'll pack up mom's bike in my car and bring it back here. Gonna go eat queso...

Mom is probably the only one who will know what song I'm referencing in my subject line. But it is indeed Monday. I am currently waiting for an e-mail so I can go to campus. Thus, I have decided to regale you, my readership, with the events of the weekend.
Friday was a fun day. Dr. Rack was convinced that class was cancelled on Fridays before exams, so we didn't have class. Julie and I went to the gym and did our thing. We rock. I have arm muscles now, by the way. Woo-Hoo! After the gym, we came back to my place and laid in the grass across the street, chatting and calling Rachel. After our little nap in the sun, Julie went home and I took a shower. I then grabbed some Sonic (gosh it is bad to have Sonic this close to my place) and took it over to Julie's for dinner. We watched Gilmore Girls, then we came back here and went downstairs to Paul Berger's place to await time to leave for the percussion concert. Percussion thing was AWESOME. Some of us audience members were a bit trouble-making, but it was a way fun concert.
After that, we got ice cream with Marsh and Kevin and Matt. Paul's band was playing at Pitchers, but we were all in ice cream comas, so we elected not to go hear them. Instead, Julie, Matt, and I went to Tara's house and played poker until very very late. I learned that I am not very good at the whole poker thing and should probably stay in school.
Saturday, I slept until about 8:30 (which is late for me), then I went across the street and studied for about 4 hours. I then went over to the guys' place to steal some chinese chews and ended up staying there for a while. I played tour guide for Paul and Paul's mom and Bill at the Bo-Gan. That was fun. Then I waited around for Julie to come over so we could watch movies all night. We went and got Rachel when she got back (okay, actually, we were really really lazy and we instead accidentally convinced Matt to drive us to Rachel's and back...). We got to my place where we ate jimmies and frosting and pasta with pesto sauce and m&ms. We were going for a sugar coma. We watched Monsters Inc, which is a very cute movie. We were paid a visit by Matthew and his laundry, we had an m&m fight, then we all went to bed.
Sunday I went to church at Crosspoint with Julie and Rachel cause it was their senior sunday. Then there was a barbecue at the Y-Beach afterward, at which we played frisbee and bocce and got very burned.
We spun in our skirts and had all sorts of fun doing that. We looked goofy of course...
My shoulders are all sorts of red. Yesterday afternoon I made chicken noodle soup for Paul cause Olivia was working at a dance recital thing, then we just kinda hung out for a while before I headed to bed.
I am going to head to campus. Tell you about it later if it all works out.
